Last week (December 28 to January 3), there were 18,462 coronavirus-related deaths in the United States, an average of more than 2,600 per day. December is the month with the highest number of deaths, as many as 77,572 people, an average of 2500 people per day; the death toll in November was 36,964. Previously, it peaked in April with 60,738 deaths, followed by May with 41,703 deaths.
